MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Board of Commissions of the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved the “Electricity Tariff Regulations and the Multi Year Tariff Methodology”.

The new Electricity Tariff Regulations and the Multi Year Tariff Methodology will provide the framework for approving all tariffs through elaborate principles and other terms of supply of electricity within the sector.

According to a release, the Board Resolution signed by LERC’s Chairman Dr. Lawrence Sekajipo and Commissioner Michael Korkpor was based on the 2015 Electricity Law of Liberia which mandates the Commission to regulate tariffs.

The Electricity Tariff Regulations and the Multi Year Tariff Methodology now takes effect as of the approval date.
