Liberia Land Authority Chairman urges judges to handle land conflicts promptly

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chairman of the Liberia Land Authority (LLA) is urging Judges to look into land conflicts speedily, to avoid tension in the Country.

Atty. Adams Manobah said:” The delay on the part of judges to adjudicate land cases is causing unnecessary tension among citizens, in disputed areas.”

The LLA Chairman is, however, recommending a dialogue among relevant stakeholders, including the Land Authority, Ministries of Internal Affairs and Justice to remedy the situation.

Atty. Manobah told ELBC Thursday, April 8, 2021, in an interview that the dialogue, when held, could identify the differences and define the roles of each stakeholder involved with land issues.

He disclosed that boundary harmonization between Counties or Districts requires the urgent attention of Government, through adequate support to the Liberia Land Authority.
