Rebury Ebola victims of cremated remains-Rep. Tarponweh

LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Margibi County District One Representative, Tibelrosa Tarponweh, is calling for the official burial of the cremated remains of victims of the Ebola Health Crisis in Liberia.

Bones of Ebola victims are currently kept in drums at the Disco Hill burial site in Margibi County, after they were taken from the crematorium in Marshall, Lower Margibi County.

Speaking at Disco Hill on Liberia’s Decoration Day, Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Representative Tarponweh said:” It is time for the Liberian Government to dispose of the remains in order to bring closure to families of victims.”

According to him, the burial site can be developed in a memorial and Ebola Research Center.

He said such move will attract tourists and researchers to Liberia, thus generating more revenue for the Country.
