Pres. Weah pays homage to fallen Ivoirian Prime Minister

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has described the late Prime Minister of Ivory Coast, Hamed Bakayoko, as an extraordinary Statesman whose loss will be felt beyond the shores of his Country.

President Weah said:” Prime Minister Bakayoko was very instrumental in the consolidation of ties between Liberia and Ivory Coast, since his ascendancy to the Prime Minister position.”

The Liberia Leader said the late Ivorian Statesman was a true friend of Liberia, with whom his administration worked very closely to cement ties in many areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

President Weah urged the people and Government of Ivory Coast to use the death of Prime Minister Bakayoko to continue championing his values and aspirations.

According to an Executive Mansion Release issued Wednesday, March 10, 2021, President Weah expressed deep sadness over the news of the passing of the Ivoirian Statesman on Wednesday March 10.
