Grand Kru County to host this year’s Independence Day Celebrations

GRAND KRU COUNTY, LIBERIA-Grand Kru County is expected to host this year’s July 26, 2021, Independence Day celebrations.

President George Weah made the announcement Friday, February 26, 2021, in Barclayville during a town hall meeting with citizens of the county.

The Liberian leader said the move was part of Government’s plan to decentralize celebrations of the Country’s Independence Day, so that no group is left out.

President Weah also assured the people of Barclayville of upgrading the major streets, schools, hospitals, markets and other major public facilities in the County.

President Weah at the same time cautioned the citizens, particularly the youth to always seek peaceful approaches in solving issues.

The Liberian leader said:” In the absence of peace, no nation can achieve national development.”
