19 Year Old Female Journalist Commits Suicide in Lofa

Report from the Foya Boema Hospital in Lofa County says a Journalist had died as a result of drinking acid.

Our Correspondent said Mary Tamba drank the acid on February 5 and died at the Foya Hospital where she was undergoing treatment.

Our Correspondent quotes an apparent suicide note as saying; she drank the acid to kill herself because of her parents’ interference in her relationship with a man she loved.

19-year-old Mary Tamba was a practicing Journalist at Radio Makona in Foya District, Lofa County.

Meanwhile, journalist Tamba has since been buried.
