Popo Beach residents benefit from additional thirty-two homes

MONROVIA, LIBERIA- About sixty residents of Popo Beach Community in New Kru Town, Bushrod Island, are benefiting from the construction of additional thirty-two homes.

The homes were constructed by the Government of Liberia through the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE).

LACE Executive Director, Quiwu Yeke, said:” The housing units are part of the Liberian Government’s Pro-Poor Housing unit project.”

Mr. Yeke said Government had previously constructed fifty homes as Phase One of the housing units in the area.

According to the LACE Boss, the current project represents phase-one, while phase-three is expected to begin in the next one to two months.

Meanwhile, Mr. Yeke has put the total cost of the entire housing project in Popo Beach Community to about three-point-five-million United States Dollars.

He spoke Wednesday, January 20, 2021, when President George Weah inspected the Popo Beach Housing Project on Bushrod.
