Gov. considers Bushrod Radio’s Ultimatum a threat

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has taken serious exception to a reported 48-hhour ultimatum issued by the Management of Bushrod Radio (D-15), to publish an indictment drawn against Mr. Henry Costa or it will go ahead to grant him air time on its platform.

According to the Liberian Government, it takes such ultimatum as a threat.

A Ministry of Information release issued Tuesday, January 19, 2021, quoted the Government of Liberia as calling on D-15 Management to take back such statement.

The Government of Liberia said:” Such demand against its order has the potential to undermine the Rule of Law, and create unnecessary tension in the Country.”

Meanwhile, the Liberian Government has clarified that it is under no legal obligation to unveil an indictment drawn against a Liberian citizen, until the person named in the indictment is arrested.
