Liberian Senate, aggrieved staff negotiate over benefit problem

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Negotiation between the leadership of the Liberian Senate and aggrieved staff of that august body is continuing this Monday, January 18, 2021, over benefit controversy.

According to a release issued Thursday, January 14, 2021, the forum which is expected to take place at 12 noon in the Rotunda of the Capitol will focus on staff benefits over the period.

Recently, a draft report was submitted by a committee chaired by Senator Alphonso Gaye of Grand Gedeh County investigating benefit controversy from aggrieved workers of the Senate.

The release also quoted the President Pro-Tempore, Albert Chie, as lauding the staff for returning to work, despite the situation.
