Pres. Weah’s meeting with French Foreign Minister was successful-Minister Rennie

ACCRA, GHANA-Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie has termed as successful the meeting between President George Weah and French Foreign Minister Jean Yves Le Drian.

President Weah and Le Drian met on Thursday morning, January 7, 2021, on the margins of the inauguration of Ghanaian President Nana Akufo Addo, in the Ghanaian capital, Accra.

Minister Rennie said:” At the meeting, President Weah appealed to the French Government to support Liberia in the areas of the Economy, the Armed Forces and the Security Sector.”

On the line from Accra, the Information Minister told ELBC that the Liberian Leader was also particular about attracting more French investments to the Country.

According to him, the French Foreign Minister promised to visit Monrovia in March this year to further embrace the already bilateral ties between the two nations.

Minister Rennie disclosed that the French Foreign Minister paid tribute to President George Weah for ensuring the consolidation of the Liberian democracy.
