Paynesville City Corporation detains about twelve persons for allegedly throwing filths in the streets

PAYNESVILLE CITY, LIBERIA-The Paynesville City Corporation (PCC) has confirmed the arrest of at least twelve persons, for allegedly dumping dirt on the streets in the city.

Paynesville City Mayor Pam Belcher-Taylor made the disclosure during a news conference at the PCC Headquarters on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Mayor Belcher-Taylor said:” Their action violates City Ordinance 4, Section 10, which addresses the issue of waste disposals in the city.”

According to her, separate fines have been imposed on the suspects at the Department of Enforcement of the City Corporation.

She said failure of their part to pay the fines, they will charged and sent to court for prosecution.

Meanwhile, the Paynesville City Mayor has complained about the misuse and abuse of the rehabilitated Paynesville Community Park and its equipment.
