MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A Community Dialogue for Women and Girls was over the weekend conducted on Peace Island, in Congo Town.

The Dialogue was conducted by the Liberia Broadcasting System, in collaboration with the UN Women and the Government of Sweden.

The Presenter of ELBC Flag-ship program-Women Let’s Talk-Oneta Roberts, said the dialogue is intended to ensure women and girls issues are addressed.

She said:” The UN Women and the Government of Sweden are concerned about issues affecting women, girls and children, and want them addressed through these activities.”

Meanwhile, two participants, Comfort Dahn and Mary Toweh, said: Violence against women and girls are alarming on Peace Island.”

They, however, lauded the Management of LBS, UN Women and the Swedish Government for the outreach.
