Why gov’t wants international probe in mysterious deaths of four Liberians – Information Minister, Ledgerhood Rennie clarifies

MONROVIA, LIBERIA -The Government of Liberia has been providing clarification surrounding reasons why it is involving the international community to investigate the recent deaths of four professional Liberians.

Information Minister, Ledgerhood Rennie said: “Government wants an independent and transparent investigation that is why it has invited the international partner and families of the deceased to allay speculations”.

Minister Rennie spoke Tuesday, October 13, 2020, in an interview with the BBC via mobile phone.

Minister Rennie is, therefore, calling on the public to remain calm to enable the investigators to determine the cause of deaths of the four.

The Information Minister said speculating will question the credibility of the investigation and undermine public confidence in the process.
