MONROVIA, LIBERIA – President George Weah has made local appointments in government affecting the Buah and Trehn Administrative Districts of Grand Kru County.

Those appointed on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, includes Sarwoloday Doe, District Superintendent of Buah Statutory District. He replaces Mr. Sylvester Tugbe.

The Liberian leader has also appointed Beatrice Mooney-Senyon, City Mayor of Atlantic City, Garraway in Trehn District.

An Executive Mansion statement said the Liberian Leader made the appointments following consultations and recommendations from Grand Kru Legislative Caucus.

Grand Kru County’s Legislative Caucus had earlier written President Weah noting that the recommendations were aimed at meeting the goals of the Government’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Development and Prosperity.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.
