Liberian Gov. puts in place measures to determine cause of deaths…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia says it is working along with international partners, especially the United States Embassy, to hire pathologists to determine the cause of deaths for three members of Government.

Speaking in an ELBC interview Sunday, October 11, 2020, President George Weah said:” Government is saddened by the deaths of two employees of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) and the Director General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Emmanuel Nyenswa.”

President Weah said he has instructed the Liberia National Police (LNP) and other security apparatus to provide facts that will assist in the investigation, to avoid public speculations.

The Liberian Leader extended, on behalf of the Government, deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and assured them that they will form part of the investigation.

President Weah described the wave of deaths as worrisome and unacceptable, especially as the Country pursues a democratic path and the respect for the Rule of Law under his administration.
