Liberian Senate confirms Information Minister, Liberia Broadcasting System Director General Designate

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Plenary of the Liberian Senate has confirmed Information Minister Designate Ledgerhood Rennie and the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) Director General Designate, Estelle Liberty Kemoh.

It followed the submission and subsequent endorsement of the report from the Senate Committee on Information and Broadcasting Friday, October 9, 2020.

In the report, the Committee said its recommendation for confirmation of Mr. Rennie and Mrs. Liberty-Kemoh is based on their qualifications and competence for their respective positions.

Prior to his preferment as Liberia’s Information Minister, Mr. Rennie served as Director General of the State-run Liberia Broadcasting System with distinction and admiration from the Media Community.

The outgoing LBS Director General also served as Deputy Director General for Media Services and Broadcasting for the station.

In a related development, the incoming LBS Director General, Estelle Liberty-Kemoh, served as LBS Deputy Director General for Administration, prior to her new portfolio.
