Police Arrest 27-Year-Old Man, For Alleged Election Fraud in Margibi County

MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA – A twenty seven year old man has been arrested for carrying out double election registration in Margibi County.

Abednego Galawo was picked up by the Police at the E. J. Yancy Public School after it was established that he had earlier registered at the Asaree Islamic School in Kakata.

The two Voter Identification Cards were seized from him and the suspect is in police custody undergoing investigation awaiting court trial.

Meanwhile, several persons have been arrested by the Margibi County Police Detachment for their alleged involvement in voters trucking in the county.

ELBC Upper Margibi County Correspondent quotes the Assistant Police Commissioner of the County; Sylvester Hinneh, as saying the Police is on high alert to discourage voters trucking.
