African Dev. Bank, Transco to Provide Electricity Shortly for Liberia, Other Mano River Union Countries

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The African Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with Transco, an Electricity Transmission Company, is expected to provide electricity in the Minor River Basin.

The Minor River Basin consists of four West African Countries, including Liberia, are expected to shortly benefit from the electricity project.

According to ELBC Margibi County Correspondent, 95 per-cent of work has been done by Transco for the supply of electricity to Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast and Liberia in December, 2020.

Our Correspondent said the electricity project was initiated in 2012, after a treaty was signed in Liberia by Heads of States from the four West African Countries.
