Education Ministry to reopen schools

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education has announced the physical reopening of schools from six to eleven grades in line with health protocols.

According to a release, six, seventh, eighth and ninth grades will resume classes beginning August 10 and end on October 3, this year,

The release says tenth and eleventh grades will begin classes on October five and end November 4, this year.

Meanwhile, all school authorities are advised to place focus on Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies to complete the academic calendar, 2019-2020.

The release is also urging school authorities to package lessons as home work for Early Childhood Education, ECD, to grade five into weekly format outlining daily activities to guide students and parents.

At the same time, the Education Ministry has emphasized the full adherence to all health protocols put in place by health authorities to fight against COVID-19.
