Five dead from collapsed fence in Sinkor,Monrovia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-At least five persons have reportedly died and others injured on 18th Street in Sinkor, following the collapsed of a fence on several houses.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred early Friday morning, June 26, 2020, following heavy storm and rain.

The eyewitnesses told ELBC Friday, June 26, 2020, that the fence at the United Wisdom Community on 18 Street stretches toward the Atlantic Ocean.

It was undermined by water.

Inhabitants in the community said:” For years now, there has been illegal drilling of water for commercial use, without the approval from the Environmental Protection Agency.”

They reportedly linked Representative Edwin Snowe, to ownership of the facility but the Lawmaker distanced himself from the allegation.
