Govt. to enforce masks wearing, produces 1 million locally made for public

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government has announced the production of One Million locally made nose masks for the public.

It followed the launch of a campaign: “Masks For All”, by the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.

The disclosure was made Friday, June 19, 2020, by Information Minister, Eugene Nagbe, in an ELBC interview.

Minister Nagbe said:” The Government will ensure a mandatory use of nose masks by citizens and foreign nationals to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus.”

Meanwhile, NPHIL Director General Dr. Mosoka Fallah said the compulsory use of face masks will be enforced by members of the Joint Security.

Dr. Fallah said:” The Ministry of Transport, Transport Unions and the Liberia National Police are part of the campaign to enforce the mandatory wearing of masks.”
