World Customs Organization donates testing kits to Liberia Revenue Authority

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A consignment of equipment intended to detect smuggling of narcotic drugs and other harmful substances has been donated to the Liberian Revenue Authority (LRA).

The testing kits were donated to the LRA Customs Department by the World Customs Organization (WCO).

According to a release issued Wednesday, May 27, 2020, the equipment will detect dangerous chemical being smuggled into the Country.

Presenting the equipment on behalf of WCO, Liberia Customs   Commissioner, Saa Saamoi, said:” The donation worth more than twenty-thousand United States Dollars, contain six-hundred boxes of devices.”

Receiving the equipment, LRA Commissioner General, Thomas Doe Nah, lauded WCO and assured that the testing equipment will boost Customs border operations.
