Liberian Businesses Appeal to CBL On Banks Loans Considering The Coronavirus

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberia Business Association (LIBA) is appealing to the Central Bank of Liberia to allow commercial banks be moderate on loans provided its members.

LIBA said with the present outbreak of the coronavirus, businesses will find it difficult in paying interest on loans provided by commercial banks.

According to LIBA President, James Strother, the outbreak is affecting business activities greatly.

In an ELBC interview Thursday, Mr. Strother cautioned business people not to create unnecessary scarcity with the aimed of profiteering.

He said the attention of LIBA has been drawn to the price of hand washing buckets and wants businesses to adhere to all health protocols by placing hand washing buckets at their various businesses.
