Cote D’Ivoire Records First Confirmed Case of Corona Virus

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Cote D’Ivoire has confirmed its first case of Corona Virus.

Health Ministry authorities in the La Cote D’Ivoire told BBC the person who contracted the virus was an Ivorian man who had recently returned from Italy.

According to health authorities, those he had been in contact with had been identified and were being followed up.

The Corona Virus outbreak has labeled as a pandemic by the World Health Organization(WHO) The Head  of WHO, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the number cases outside China had increased to 13fold over the past two weeks.

Dr. Ghebreyesus said he is deeply concerned by alarming levels of inaction over the virus. A pandemic is a disease that is spreading in multiple countries around the world at the same times.
