MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A Coalition of Francophone Embassies in Liberia has launched a week-long cultural celebration in Monrovia to promote the French language and strengthen cooperation.
The activity is bringing together the embassies of the Ivory Coast, Morocco, France, Guinea, Lebanon, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Speaking at the event on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, French Ambassador to Liberia, Isabella Le Guellec, disclosed plans to support Liberian French teachers by providing opportunities to improve their skills and advance training outcomes.
She also announced efforts to train members of the Joint Security in French to build a more bilingual security sector and improve communication.
This year’s celebration, under the theme:” Youth, Create, Innovate, Entrepreneurship in the Francophone” is part of the annual March activities to promote cooperation among French-speaking countries.
