MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has made additional appointments in government affecting the ministries of state, and local government, the National Housing Authority, Liberia Institute of Public Administration, and the Bureau of State Enterprises.
At the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, President Boakia appointed Bill McGill Jones, Deputy Minister for Administration, replacing Youth and Sports Minister Cornelia Kruah.
Jennifer Davies Ross was also appointed Assistant Minister for Administration, Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs.
At the Ministry of Local Government, the Liberian Leader reappointed all current officials, including Francis Nyumalin, Minister, Edward Mulbah, Deputy Minister for Local Government and Decentralization, Samuel Brown, Deputy Minister for Administration, and Selena Polson Mappy, Deputy Minister for Research, Policy and Planning.
Others are Joseph Bannah, Deputy Minister for Peacebuilding, Fatima Bintu Sirleaf, Deputy Minister for Urban Affairs, Alphonso Perkins, Assistant Minister for Local Government and Decentralization, Emmanuel Wheinyue, Assistant Minister for Research, Policy and Planning.
According to an Executive Mansion release, Eddie Cornelius Dilah was appointed Assistant Minister for Urban Affairs, Dadeh Harper, Assistant Minister for Administration, Losene Bility, Assistant Minister for Legal Affairs and Traditional Marriages, Mike Jabateh, Assistant Minister for Peacebuilding, and Williams Jallah, Assistant Minister for Culture and Tradition.
Meanwhile, the reappointments at the Ministry of Local Government, the Executive Mansion said, are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, decentralization, and effective public service delivery across the country.
It said the appointments are consistent with Chapter 25.22 of the new Act establishing the Ministry of Local Government of 2025, while highlighting the government’s efforts to improve institutional performance and advance national development priorities.
At the National Housing Authority, Mathias Korpu was appointed Deputy Managing Director for Administration, while Winnie Siakor-Dilah was appointed Deputy Managing Director for Technical Services.
President Boakai also appointed Nukey Richards, Deputy Director General for Training and Manpower Development at the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA).
At the Bureau of State Enterprise, Julius Browne was appointed Deputy Director General for Operations.
An Executive Mansion release quotes President Joseph Boakai as saying the appointments reflect his administration’s determination to reinforce capable leadership across government institutions, and to deepen decentralization, accountability, and service delivery to the Liberian people.
He called on all appointed officials to discharge their duties with professionalism, integrity, and steadfast leadership in national service.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.
