Liberia Nat’l Police Intervenes in Nurses’ Protest Action at Phebe Hospital in Bong County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police (LNP) has intervened following a protest by nurses and support staff at the Phebe Hospital in Bong County, successfully restoring calm.

The protest, which stemmed from concerns raised by aggrieved workers, prompted immediate engagement by the police to maintain public order and prevent any disruption to hospital services and community safety.

The Director General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA) is engaged in constructive discussions with the workers aimed at reaching an amicable resolution to their grievances.

According to the police, it remains committed to safeguarding lives and property, while encouraging peaceful dialogue as the appropriate means of addressing concerns.

Meanwhile, calm has been fully restored, and normal activities have resumed at the Phebe Hospital in Bong County.
