Gov’t of Liberia Mobilizes Finances to Pave Salayea-Mendikorma Road

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia says it is actively mobilizing finances to pave the road from Salayea-Mendikorma in Lofa County.

According to the government, the Kuwaiti Fund, BADIA, the Saudi Fund, and OPEC have all committed finances for the project.

Finance and Development Planning Minister, Augustine Ngafuan, disclosed on Friday, February 13, 2026, at a news conference in Monrovia.

Minister Ngafuan said,” BADIA, the Kuwaiti Fund, and OPEC have committed to providing the finances for the road from Salayea to Konia”.

According to him, Saudi Funds for Development have also agreed to provide financing for the road from Konia to Yeala, at the Guinea border.
