MONROVIA, LIBERIA- A loyal supporter of the Unity Party, identified as Mr. Jonathan Paye-Layleh, is urging President Joseph Boakai to engage citizens through regular one-on-one public forums across the country.
Mr. Paye-Layleh says direct engagement with market women, students, persons with disabilities, drivers, farmers, shoe-shine boys, and the unemployed is critical to understanding the real challenges facing ordinary Liberians.
According to him, such interactions would give the President a clearer picture of the daily struggles of the people, noting that some individuals working within the presidency either pursue personal interests or fail to present the true realities on the ground.
Mr. Paye-Layleh adds that his call is driven by a desire to ensure that the Liberia many citizens dream of remains achievable through inclusive and people-centered leadership.
