MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia Research and Development Networks (LRDN) has officially launched a Science, Technology, Arts, and Mathematics (STEM) Project Showcasing Program in Sinkor, Monrovia.
The initiative aims at building the capacity of students engaged in Social and Natural Science research, providing them with opportunities to develop skills that are essential for solving real-life challenges.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Director for Communication and Publication, Samuel Goweh, emphasized LRDN’s commitment to transforming Liberia’s Education Sector and introducing practical solutions to societal problems.
He said, “The STEM Project will be decentralized across the country, ensuring that students in all counties can benefit from the program”.
Founded in February 2017, LRDN is a leading organization in Liberia dedicated to advancing education, research, and innovation. The network has consistently provided platforms for young Liberians to showcase talent and contribute to national development.
Participants at the event expressed their appreciation to LRDN for creating a platform where they could display their skills. They also pledged to utilize the knowledge gained through the program for its intended purpose.
The STEM Project is expected to serve as a model for similar initiatives in Liberia, aiming at bridging the gap between education and practical application in science, technology, and the arts.
With this launch, LRDN continues to reinforce its role as a driving force in empowering students, fostering innovation, and supporting Liberia’s vision for a knowledgeable and skilled youth population.
