Deputy Info Minister Sando Clarifies Pres. Boakai’s Visit to Tokyo, Japan

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, said President Boakai is attending the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Japan, and not Expo 2025.

According to him, the President’s delegation comprises people from major line ministries and agencies expected to have counterpart engagements surrounding various sectors of government.

Speaking at the MICAT Regular Press Briefing in Monrovia on Tuesday, Minister Sando said the President has designated Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti to represent him at the Expo 2025.

Deputy Minister Sando described the trip as one stone that will kill two birds.

The Deputy Information Minister is, at the same time, calling on critics to recognize the significance of the President’s trip, stressing that it is intended to yield fruits, especially in the health and agriculture sectors, amongst others.
