Justice Ministry Reacts to Allegations…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Justice has reacted to articles in newspapers, statements, comments, assertions, and utterances on social media that a defendant, Peach Bility, was illegally released by the Ministry of Justice from the Monrovia Central Prison.

Defendant Bility was incarcerated and awaiting trial for the crimes of unlicensed possession of a firearm, sale, trade, administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution, dispatch in transit, and transportation of controlled drugs, among others.

The Ministry clarified that these news articles, statements, comments, assertions, and utterances are false and incorrect.

According to a Justice Ministry release issued recently, Defendant Peach Bility was released from the Monrovia Central Prison, on November 15, 2024, upon the orders of His Honor A. Blamo Dixon, Resident Circuit Judge, Criminal Court “C”.

The Ministry is therefore urging the public to engage it in events and it will endeavour to provide adequate and transparent explanations.
