Gov. of Liberia Sets January 15, 2025, as Deadline…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has set January 15, next year as the deadline for the sale of gasoline and fuel at street corners across the country.

The decision was taken by the government through the Ministry of Justice, along with the Liberia National Fire Service and Liberia National Police.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the irregular distribution and sale of flammable products in Mayonnaise jars violates the country’s Public Safety Law and poses a significant threat to lives and properties.

In a release issued on Monday, December 30, 2024, the Justice Ministry cautioned individuals and filling stations involved in the sale of inflammable substances to desist before the stipulated deadline.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice has instructed tankers transporting petroleum products to only deliver and distribute their products to filling stations approved by the Government of Liberia.
