Movement for Economic Empowerment Ends Political Stalemate

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) says it has ended months of political stalemate confronting the Party.

Recently, some executives of the Party and its Political Leader, Dee-Maxwell Kemayah, were at loggerhead over the political direction, structure and governance of the MOVEE.

In a statement on Monday, November 4, 2024, MOVEE said it has settled the impasse maintaining that Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Kemayah remains the legitimate political leader of the Party until 2029.

Reading the statement, Jeremiah Paye, a partisan, apologized to Ambassador Kemayah for the form and manner in which he was treated during their disagreement, saying the political disagreements are common and a key ingredient of democracy.

Mr. Jeremiah Paye then called on partisans of the Movement for Economic Empowerment to unite for the forward match of the Party.
