Liberia Civil Aviation Authority Signs Code of Conduct…

MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) has signed the Code of Conduct to promote transparency and accountability in public service.

Speaking prior to the signing ceremony in Margibi County on Monday, November 4,2024, the LCAA, Director General, Julius Dennis, highlighted the Authority’s renewed dedication to implementing the Code of Conduct.

Mr. Dennis said:” The Code of Conduct is vital in promoting effective and efficient public service delivery.”

The LCAA Head signed the Code of Conduct, along with his Senior Management Staff of the Authority at a one-day Code of Conduct Awareness Workshop organized by the Office of the Ombudsman in partnership with Internews-Liberia.

Director General Julius Dennis urged workers of the entity to utilize the knowledge acquired from the workshop for the betterment of the institution and the country.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Office of the Ombudsman, Cllr. Finley Karngar, emphasized the organization’s commitment to ensuring that the Government’s institutions uphold ethical standards in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

Cllr. Karngar highlighted the importance of public institutions protecting state properties from damage, theft, loss, destruction, and abuse.

He also urged public officials to refrain from using public resources for personal gain and avoid conflict of interest and nepotism, among other unethical practices.

Cllr. Finley Karngar assured that the Office of the Ombudsman is developing strategies to enhance its monitoring system across all ministries of the Government of Liberia.
