Deputy House Speaker Fallah Presides over Majority Bloc’s Session at Nat’l Legislature

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Deputy House Speaker Thomas Fallah has officially joined and presided over the Majority Bloc of the House of Representatives in a bid to remove Speaker Fonati Koffa.

Representative Fallah’s decision followed three separate communications written him to join the Majority Bloc or risk losing his position.

Our Legislative Reporter said Fallah’s deflection is a major blow for Speaker Koffa who is under immense pressure to resign.

Currently, the Majority Bloc has forty-four members with ongoing conversation to get others on board to get the required number to oust speaker Koffa.

Our reporter said since the return of the 55th National Legislature, Speaker Koffa is yet to have quorum in line with Legislature proceedings to conduct business.
