Center for Economic Crimes and Security Studies Leads Campaign against Violent Extremism…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Center for Economic Crimes and Security Studies (CESS) is leading a campaign against violent extremism and terrorism in the Mano River Basin.

Extremism and Terrorism impede the stability of regional countries and undermine the rights of citizens.

At a roundtable dialogue on Wednesday, October 30,2024, in Monrovia, the Organization’s Program Coordinator, Christopher Seeton, underscored the need for collaborative efforts, especially among the youth in the fight against the menace.

Mr. Seeton said:” Violent extremism and terrorism are fueled by a complex interplay of socio-economic factors, political grievances and social injustices.”

Coordinator Christopher Seeton said:” Such menace can only be curbed if Liberians, mainly the youth, engage holistically with issues affecting the Security Sector and promote programs against extremism and terrorism in Liberia.”
