Gov. of Liberia Files Lawsuit against Green Park Management

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has filed a lawsuit against the Management of Green Park over accountability issues.

The Green Park Management is running the affairs of parks built by the immediate passed Government of Liberia.

The parks include the PHP, Invincible Sports, New Kru Town, Doe Community and the West Point Parks.

According to Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah, the move by the Government is based on an audit report from the General Auditing Commission (GAC).

Minister Piah revealed that the GAC’S report shows that the Management of the Green Park has only been collecting money from Liberians with no accountability and impact in return.

Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah said:” The Management of the Green Park entered a twenty-year verbal agreement with past authorities of the MCC, and that the Management has no records of competence to handle such business.”
