Liberia Telecom Authority Orders Reduction in Data Price Floors, Voice Call

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) has ordered the reduction in the price floors for data and voice call.

The LTA, in a release issued recently, said the price reduction is a temporary measure in response to market conditions.

It added that the reduction in voice call will officially take effect on October 22, while data will come to force on November 22, 2024.

The LTA noted that reduction in prices reflects its commitment to safeguarding the interests of consumers, while ensuring the competitiveness and sustainability of the telecommunication sector.

The price floor, if maintained, will enable the service providers to invest more in expanding and improving their network coverage.
