Labor Minister Urges Concession Companies…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Labor Minister Cooper Kruah has urged Concession Companies nationwide to recruit and train more Liberians for top managerial positions.

Minister Kruah said:” This will add value to the Labor Sector and improve the livelihood of Liberian workers across the Country.”

He made the statement in Grand Bassa County during the second leg of his nationwide labor assessment tour.

Minister Kruah also held separate discussions with Liberian employees and management on issues ranging from unfair labor practices, denial of annual leave benefits, and lack of unionized bargaining agreements.

The Labor Minister called on management and employees to foster peaceful interactions to remedy unfavorable work conditions at concessions companies across the Country.

At the same time, the Labor Boss admonished the companies to immediately address the issue of salary disparity between Liberian workers and foreign nationals doing the same job and ordered the reinstatement of illegally dismissed employees.
