Bad Roads Condition in Tappita Creates Rice Shortage…

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-The reported bad road condition in Tappita and its environs in Nimba County is said to have created rice shortage in the area.

According to ELBC Correspondent, the shortage is attributed to the heavy downpour which has left several vehicles carrying rice stock in the mud.

Our Correspondent said the situation has increased the price of a cup of rice from fifty Liberian Dollars to sixty-five dollars.

Meanwhile, farmers in the area are calling on the Ministry of Agriculture to enable them to cultivate more hectares of rice in the County.

Our Correspondent quotes citizens as hoping for sunshine in the coming days to enable them to have free passage to deliver their goods.
