Gov. of Liberia Expresses Confidence in Projections Standardizing Energy’s Sector…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has expressed optimism about prospects in standardizing the country’s Energy Sector for effective and reliable service delivery to stimulate economic growth and development.

Deputy Mines and Energy Minister for Operations, Williams Hines, made specific emphasis on the sixty percent progress report from the Petroleum and Electricity Sectors of Liberia.

A release issued recently said that Minister Hines made the statement at the climax of a three-day Sector Validation Workshop aimed at identifying gaps within Liberia’s National Energy Policy of 2009.

Minister Hines also called for stakeholders’ recommendations, to fully validate the National Energy Policy for final approval.

Meanwhile, the National Oil Company of Liberia official and the Rural Renewal Energy Agency have extolled the Government of Liberia to prioritize reform in Liberia’s energy sector.
