Liberia, Finland Hold Discussions to Forge Mutual Partnership…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia, and Finland are holding discussions on forging a mutual partnership to improve Liberia’s maritime sector and enhance revenue generation.

The two countries are discussing the establishment of a joint cooperation that will benefit both countries by promoting job creation, capacity building, and global maritime collaboration.

A release says the discussions followed a meeting between Liberia’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization, Robert Kpadeh, and Finland’s Permanent Secretary of Transport, Maritime, and Communications, Minna Kivimaki.

During the meeting, Mr. Kpadeh extolled Finland for its outstanding maritime technologies. He recognized the contributions of Wartsila, one of the World’s leading companies in the construction of ship engines, among others.

Also speaking, Madam Kivimaki pledged Finland’s commitment to partnering with Liberia on global maritime affairs and other areas of Maritime interest.
