Liberia Telecom. Authority, Central Bank Sign Memorandum of Understanding…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Telecommunication Authority (LTA) and Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate financial inclusion and access gaps.

The MoU also addresses electronic transaction fraud, privacy breaches, cyber-attacks, and incident recovery.

A recent release disclosed that the Agreement also aims to establish a mutually agreed-upon scope of cooperation between the two institutions.

The LTA said the signing of the MoU is a significant step towards the digitalization of Liberia’s economy.

Meanwhile, the LTA has disclosed plans to join the National Payment Council of the CBL to widen discussions on safe and efficient payment of security clearance and resettlement system.
