Liberian Gov. Allots $1.8 Million for Military Barracks Rehabilitation across Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has apportioned 1.8 million US Dollars to begin the rehabilitation of several military barracks in the country.

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia, Brigadier General Davidson Forleh, said:” The money was approved recently to address to decongestion and accommodation challenges confronting the Army.”

Brigadier General Forleh said:” The amount will be used to rehabilitate military barracks in Sanniquellie, Nimba County, Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, Gbarnga, Bong County, and Kakata, Margibi County.”

The AFL Chief of Staff also disclosed that plans are underway for the recruitment of additional personnel of the Army early next year.

Brigadier General Forleh said while that is planned, personnel will shortly be promoted to various ranks to beef up the morale in the Army.

Brigadier General Davidson Forleh recently spoke in the maiden edition of the Armed Forces Today program on ELBC Radio.
