Governance Global Practice Hails Liberian State Owned Enterprises…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Governance Global Practice Manager for West and Central Africa has hailed the progress made at the Liberian State Owned Enterprises Governance.

Visiting World Bank Head of Delegation, Tracy Lane, said:” Effective governance at State Owned Enterprises marks a significant step towards enhancing public sector transparency and accountability.”

Madam Lane made the remarks on Thursday, June 20, 2024, when she paid a follow-up visit to the Bureau of State-Owned Enterprises.

She expressed satisfaction over the steady progress at the Bureau, making specific reference to the drafting of the Corporate Governance Code.

Responding, the Director General of the Bureau of State Owned Enterprises, Arthur Massaquoi, expressed gratitude to the World Bank for its support of the Liberian Government’s arrest Agenda.
