MONROVIA, LIBERIA-At least three people have died and several injured following a tragic motor accident along the Mount Barclay-Careysburg Highway.

According to ELBC Correspondent, the accident took place on Friday afternoon, May 31, 2024, when a speeding truck ran into a crowd at the LMDI Junction, along Mount Barclay-Careysburg Highway.

The victims had gone to observe the Gala Anniversary of Mount Gilead Foundation School located along Mount Barclay-Careysburg Highway.

The Principal of the School, Stephen Zayzay, told our Correspondent that one of the children died instantly, while two others were pronounced dead at health facilities, but clarified that the victims were not students of the school.

Mr. Zayzay also expressed sadness over the incident and extended condolences to the families of the victims, while the injured from the accident are said to be responding to treatment.
