African Dev. Bank Mobilizes over $3 Billion for Liberty Corridor Link…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-African Development Bank President, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, says the Bank is mobilizing over three billion US Dollars for the development of Liberty Corridor linking Liberia and Guinea.

Dr. Adesina made the disclosure recently in his opening address at the Bank’s 2024 Annual Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya.

The project envisages the construction of a multi-user railway line connecting the Buchanan Port with HPX’s Iron Ore Mining Concession in Guinea.

According to a release issued recently, the project will also include the expansion of the Buchanan Port facilities in Grand Bassa County.

As a multi-user facility, it is expected to serve as a forecast for regional trade between Liberia and Guinea.
