USAID Reaffirms Commitment to Supporting Food Security in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting food security in Liberia.

USAID Deputy Mission Director, Rory Donohoe, said” Currently, the entity is providing support to several organizations and local farmers.”

Speaking on Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Paynesville City, at activities commemorating African Day of School Feeding, Mr. Donohoe also assured the Government of USAID’S commitment to the advancement of Liberia.

The USAID Deputy Mission Director is, however, calling on the Government to prioritize the Country’s Education Sector, through increased budgetary allocation.

Mr. Rory Donohoe said doing so will go a long way in helping the Education Ministry achieve its goals and foster academic excellence among students in Liberia.
