Movement for Economic Empowerment Expels Three Executives…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) has expelled three executives of the Party for gross violations of its constitution.

Those expelled include Matthew Shann, MOVEE Acting Chair, Jeremiah PAYE, Acting Secretary General, and Patrick Karmo Acting Montserrado County Chair.

At a news conference over the weekend, MOVEE Acting Chair, Prince Mehn, said:” The expelled official’s behavior contradicts the Party’s manifestos and their refusal to honor an investigation.”

Meanwhile, the expelled MOVEE Executives have rejected their expulsion, describing the Party’s action against them as illegal.

They have also threatened to seek legal remedy to their expulsion to bring the deepening power struggle within MOVEE to a logical conclusion.
